Cocoon Club
Aah Frankfurt. Home of the European Central Bank, Europe’s third busiest airport and of course Sven Vath, Godfather of Techno Music (it can’t all be work, Frankfurters need play too!)
The Cocoon Club, founded by Sven, is undeniably Frankfurt’s best nightclub and arguably one of the best in the world. It’s soundsystem is simply ear-gasmic and it boasts two restaurants, a lounge and various ‘cocoon like’ structures nestled in the walls (where you can relax) to chose from. The cover charge is €15 on a Saturday, with drinks being on the expensive side (€9 for a long drink). The dress code is relaxed, sort of smart – casual. It’s almost always a friendly crowd, on the young side (20’s and early 30’s) and really quite random with a mix of techno lovers and boozed up bankers.
In the outskirts of the city -Carl Benz Strasse 21- and with a permanent taxi line outside the door which makes the journey home very easy, it’s difficult to find a reason not to visit!
